Staccato Screening.
The cumbersome halftone dot of traditional printing has been replaced and things have never looked better.
To create smoother transitions between color tones and more detail in photos, a much smaller dot is necessary. That is how Staccato works. It is like taking the dot and breaking it into tiny particles that can be manipulated to produce a finer image.
Scattering 20- micron particles in a precise, frequency-modulated pattern increases the intensity in color and detail, while reducing the chance of moiré. The fine structure also absorbs more light, and, as a result, Staccato can produce smoother flesh tones and more vibrant color builds.
